SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TOOLS
RKit-STRx
The RKit-STRx software toolchain includes GNU Tools (C Compiler, Assembler and
Linker), Simulator/Debugger, PDK and drivers for the STR7 (ARM7), STR9 (ARM9) and STM32 evaluation boards and emulators. All these tools are integrated into RIDE.
RIDE
RIDE is the Raisonance Integrated Development Environment. It allows to manage all the software and
hardware tools for the best ease of use.
2 versions of Ride are available and support ARM development tools: Ride6 and Ride7.
GNU Tools for ARM
ARM GNU tools are fully integrated into RIDE, so that there is no need for makefiles or complex command
lines.
Moreover, some specific libraries are provided for a better adaptation to the STR7 (ARM7), STR9
(ARM9) and STM32 (Cortex-M3) microcontrollers.
The GNU C Compiler is reliable and very optimizing. You can look at the Benchmarks for comparison with other ARM Compilers.
Simulator
RIDE provides a simulator capable of simulating the ARM instructions set and makes it possible to check
the interaction between the application code and a peripheral before going on to debug with an
In-Circuit Debugger (as RLink) or emulator (as JTAGjet-ETM).
Drivers
USB drivers for RLink and JTAGjet are included in the software kit.
RFlasher
RFlasher is a user-friendly programming interface allowing to
program the flash memory.
It is only available with Ride6 for now.
HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT TOOLS
RLink In-Circuit Debugger & Programmer
In addition to the Raisonance simulator, RIDE can be used with a number of hardware debugging tools,
including the Raisonance RLink for in-circuit debugger & programmer.
Two box versions are available for ARM devices: RLink-std and RLink-Pro.
RLink-std is the standard version. It allows to program without any resctrictions and to debug
up to 32KB (With Ride6 BN 7.47 and higher or Ride7).
Rlink-Pro is the professional version. It allows complete programming and debugging for devices
supported by Ride.
JTAGjet-ETM Emulator
JTAGJET-TRACE-ST is a small, palm-sized In-Circuit Debugger dedicated
to supporting the STMicroelectronics family of ARM based microcontrollers. It supports all ARM7 &
ARM9 based devices from STMicroelectronics. It has been developed by Signum Systems.
REva Development Board
Raisonance has also developed a Universal Development Board named REVA. This board is fully managed by RIDE allowing to debug and program
directly on it.
Up to now, the following daughter boards are available:
STR711F-DB,
STR712F-DB,
STR730F-DB,
STR750F-DB or
STR912F-DB
