Celebrating 20 Years of Innovation

This year at Raisonance, we are celebrating twenty years of tool development for the microelectronic and smart card industries. Since our start in December 1988, Raisonance tools have brought innovations to our customers and partners in Assembler and C compiler technology, software tool interfaces, signal detection and analysis, SoC design and much more.

You'll see on our website that we've taken on a new look and a new organization of resources to help users find the tools that support their silicon. Embedded World 2009 is a special opportunity to meet with us, talk about the tools you know and the hopes and needs that you have for development tools and services of the future. Look forward to seeing you there...

New site at mcu-raisonance.com

It's online... Our revised and completely restructured web site is online now to help you find tools for your microcontroller. The site is restructured to facilitate access to development tools for supported core technologies (families) and supported manufacturers' microcontrollers (sub-families).

In addition to helping you find the products to buy to support your application development, the site also provides specific information about the tools included in each product.

The new site is restructured in three domains for more rapid access to information that is pertinent to you:

ARM Core-Based Families

New Ride7 & RKit-ARM release

Update your Ride7 and RKit-ARM installations to take advantages of the latest improvements in our ARM software toolset. Notably, recent upgrades to the RKit-ARM tools improve the programming speed of ARM core-based devices by 3 to 4 times, depending on the size of the project. This new version of the toolset also adds support for STM32F102xx variants, updates the GCC toolset to version 4.3.2,  and includes a number of fixes, which are enumerated in the release notes (login required).

STM8 & ST7 Families

Ride and RKit

Updates for RKit-STM8 and Ride7

The new version of the STM8/ST7 toolset (RKit-STM8 2.14) is now available with several improvements including support for 7 new STM8S variants, simulation of all the STM8 variables and support of the STM8A Primer.

The STM8A Primer, based on the 'Automotive' variants of the STM8 family, provides a development platform for exploring CAN and LIN communications commonly used in automotive applications. This latest STM8 toolset installation includes examples for STM8A and and executable for capture of CAN signals when the Primer is connected between other nodes of a CAN network.

Additional improvements include management of Global variables and data, and an RLink driver supporting Windows Vista 64-bit platforms. For a complete list of new variants and improvements, refer to the release notes (login required).

CoolRISC

Ride and RKit

New Ride7 & C tools for CoolRISC

Users of ultra low-power CoolRISC core-based MCUs will find a complete software toolset for download that includes the RKit-C816 and Ride7. Currently, supported subfamilies include the EM68xx devices from EM Microelectronics and the XE8000 from Semtech.

Users benefit from the free GCC C compiler and latest version of our Ride7 integrated development environment. Ride7 offers an ergonomic interface for creating and fine tuning applications and includes seamless compiler integration, which eliminates the need for link scripts and facilitates rebuilding of the users applications. With the free version of RKit-C816, the Ride7 integrated simulator supports simulation of up to 8 Kbytes of instructions.
