ST7 STARTER
KITS
ST7xx-SK
|
|
The Raisonance ST7 Starter-kits offer a complete,
flexible, and affordable software and hardware development solution for ST7 applications.
It provides real-time in-circuit debugging and programming capabilities, with all the features
needed to allow developers to create, build, and debug ST's MCU-based systems.
The Starter-kit provides the perfect path to start with the ST7 family since there is no limitation,
neither for debugging, nor for programming ST7 devices supported by RIDE.
Starter-kit includes:
- REva mother board,
- RLink attached to the mother board,
- REva daughter board(s), depending on the purchased kit:
- ST7LITE-SK includes four daughter boards: ST7LITE0-DB, ST7LITE1B-DB, ST7LITE3-DB and ST7LITEU0-DB,
- ST7232x-SK includes two daughter boards: ST7321B-DB and ST72325-DB,
- ST7263B-SK includes one daughter board: ST7263B-DB,
- ST7234x-SK includes two daughter boards: ST72345-DB and ST72264-DB,
- ST7236x-SK includes one daughter board: ST72361-DB,
- all required cables,
- RAISONANCE software CD including RKit-ST7 with RIDE,
- QuickStart tutorial.

The REva mother board
|
|
REva is the Raisonance's Universal
Evaluation Board that allows quick, easy evaluation of a wide range of microcontrollers.
This innovative modular platform consists of a generic motherboard with interchangeable daughter boards
supporting several target microcontrollers and an embedded RLink in-circuit programmer and debugger.
The REva's key features include:
- Digital and analog I/O evaluation features including on-board LEDs, buttons,
switches, external analog connector, temperature sensor and
potentiometer,
- On-board I²C EEPROM and bus extension connector,
- On-board RS232 driver and DB9 connector,
- SPI, CAN and USB connections (depending on the target device).
- Embedded RLink for in-circuit debugging and in-circuit programming.
|
|
RLink
RLink is Raisonance's versatile, very low cost, high-performance in-circuit
debugger and programmer for STR7, µPSD (8051) and ST7. RLink, driven by the Raisonance's Integrated
Development Environment (RIDE), provides USB to host PC interface and connects to a user application board for
in-circuit programming/debugging thanks to the serial protocol used by the target microcontroller.
For the ST7xx-SK starter kits, RLink allows:
- unlimited FLASH programming,
- unlimited debugging
RLink's USB connection is used to power the REva, eliminating the need for a power supply.
The RLink also connects to the target ST7 in the application through a standard 10-pin ICC
(In Circuit Communication) interface, using the ST7 ICC protocol.

RKit-ST7
The free RKit-ST7 software toolchain includes RBuilder, C Compiler (1KB), Assembler, Linker, Simulator and CodeCompressor,
all integrated into Raisonance' Integrated Development Environment (RIDE) for the best ease of use.

Daughter Boards
The daughter boards contain all the components dedicated
to a specific target, including the microcontroller itself, a clock selector and other device
dependent features.
ST7LITE-SK
ST7LITE-SK includes four daughter boards ST7LITE0-DB,
ST7LITE1B-DB, ST7LITE3-DB
and ST7LITEU0-DB
ST7232x-SK
ST7232x-SK includes two daughter boards ST72325-DB and ST72321B-DB
ST7234x-SK
ST7234x-SK includes two daughter boards ST72345-DB and ST72264-DB
ST7236x-SK
ST7236x-SK includes one daughter board ST72361-DB
ST7263B-SK
ST7263B-SK includes one daughter board ST7263B-DB
Important:
The different ST7xx-DB daughter boards can be used with the STR7xx-SK starter kits for full
debugging and programming, while the STR7xx-DB daughter boards can be used on the ST7xx-SK starter-kits
only for programming (for BN 7.43 or better).
