Ride7 & RKit-STM8 Lite Software for STM8 & ST7
Instructions for Download, Installation and Activation
You have ordered a Raisonance RLink, REva, EvoPrimer or Open4 Primer for STM8 or ST7 MCUs. Your product includes the "Lite" version for the supporting Ride7 and RKit-STM8 software tool set.
Follow the instructions below to download, install and activate your software.
#1 Download and Install the Software
- Download both the Ride and RKit-STM8 installations from the table below.
Warning: Uninstall any previous versions of Ride7 and/or Raisonance RKits before running the installers below.
- Install Ride7 first.
- Then install RKit-STM8.

Ride7_7.36.11.0280.exe#2 Create Support Account & Retrieve the "Serial Key" for Your PC
For support assistance and software activation, you will need to create an account on the Raisonance Support extranet. On the Support extranet you will also obtain your serial key. It identifies your product in the case of support requests.
Create an account on the Raisonance Support extranet:
- Go to http://support-raisonance.com
- Select Create an account
- Enter a username and your email address, click on Signup
An email is sent to you automatically. Click on the link provided in that message to enable your account. If you encounter problems, notify support@raisonance.com
- Log on at http://support-raisonance.com
- Select Download > MCU Tools
- Click on RKit-STM8 in the downloads table.
- In the "RKit-STM8 serial key generator" on the STM8 download page
- Verify the Username and E-mail
- Click on Generate and Send Serial key
The Serial Key is sent automatically to your email address.
#3 Activate your software tool set in Ride7
Activate the software with your RKit-STM8 "Lite" serial key. Your PC must have an internet connection and the user must have administrator rights under Windows.
Note: If you do not activate the software, it will function for 7-days in an evaluation mode. After 7 days it will stop functioning.
- Launch Ride7
- Select Help > License...
- Select Serial Activation
- Paste the Serial Key in the provided field
- Click on Next
- Click on Get Activation code online
This opens a browser window to the Raisonance Support Extranet.
- Verify the user information in the form
- Click on Generate and Send Activation code
An e-mail with the Activation code is sent automatically to your email address.
- Copy the Activation code into the field provided in Ride7
- Click on Close
Ride7 and RKit-STM8 software have been activated.
You can confirm the Activation of your RKit STM8 tool set. In Ride7, click on Help > About Ride7... When correctly activated, the license for RKit-STM8 for Ride7, will indicate "Lite".
