CodeCompressor™ is Raisonance's unique post-link code size optimization tool for microcontroller applications, which achieves the best code density by optimizing the entire application as if it were a single module.

 

While C compilers can provide highly optimized code, the resulting object files are only optimized within the context of a module. Raisonance post-link optimization improves on the results obtained for large applications by applying advanced optimizations (function in-lining, redundant code factorization, peephole optimization) with a view of all modules of the application.

 

To facilitate its use, CodeCompressor is seamlessly integrated in the latest update of Ride7, the Raisonance integrated development environment. Optimizations are applied in three easy-to-understand phases (in-lining, factorization and peepholing) controlled by simple optimization levels from Ride.

 

CodeCompressor is available for a wide range of microcontrollers including 8051, STM8, ST7 and CoolRISC (C816) core-based devices.
