Tools for industry standard PowerPC 32-bit embedded RISC microcontroller core. Sub-families available from STMicroelectronics & Freescale Semiconductor.

 

The Power Performance Computing (PowerPC) RISC architecture was created by the 1991 Apple–IBM–Motorola alliance. It is implemented in both 32 and 64-bit devices. For embedded applications, it is featured in both the STMicroelectronics' SPC56xx and Freescale Semiconductor microcontroller lines, which are targeted to the automotive industry.

 

Raisonance application development tools for PowerPC include Ride7 software for editing and debugging applications, and the RFlasher device programming interface. Ride7 and RFlasher allow programming and debugging of executables produced by a range of compilers including those from Cosmic Software, GreenHills Software and Windriver.

 

Software tools are delivered with the RLink debugger/programmer and REva starter kits for PowerPC.
